R Beresford Auto Repairs was founded by Roger and his wife Ellie in 1979. Together they built up the business in Units 20 and 21 for over 43 years generating thousands of loyal customers who came to Beresford’s for good personal service and fair prices. In 2022 Roger and Ellie decided it was time to retire and spend time with their new grandchild.
The new owner is Allan Brownridge who brings 35 years of helping the smallest and largest dealers for Massey-Ferguson, Case, New Holland and John Deere with the last 13 years helping Harley-Davidson Motorcycle dealers all over the globe. Many also had car franchises including the world’s largest car groups such as Pendragon PLC, Jardines, Inchcape etc. He has seen loads of excellent practices and businesses and has also seen bad ones too! Allan has brought with him long-time friend Nash. Nash is one of the countries leading Porsche transaxle restorers who can fabricate, weld, repaint, and rebuild engines and gearboxes and handle all servicing issues. He has more than 20 years of experience working on these and other cars. Nash is a powerlifting and holds many British Champion titles, English, European and even commonwealth champion titles.
We are proud members of the Independent Garage Association (IGA) who keep us trained and informed on best practices and the latest services to offer our customers. We are assessed and approved by them and are proud to be one of their “Trust my Garage scheme” garages.
Also, at the start of 2023 we expanded to take over Unit 22 to provide customers with a comfortable reception to wait in with complimentary tea/coffee/mineral water and sodas (with ice creams during the summer) that’s away from the fumes and noise of an active garage.
