WHY DO I NEED TO GET MY HYBRID OR ELECTRIC CAR SERVICED?

Firstly, Electric cars and even hybrids are much heavier than their combustion engine counterparts and as a result components such as Tyres, suspension and brakes all take much more strain resulting in wear and failure much faster than lighter cars.

Hybrids even plug in hybrids still have an engine and therefore require servicing the same as a petrol or diesel car, coupled with this the hybrids tend to have a cooling system specifically for the inverter/converter that requires inspections and servicing.

For full electric cars the Air Conditioning system is a critical component, it is used to cool the battery, charging systems and drive systems. In some cases if the air conditioning fails the electric car will refuse to charge in order to protect it from over heating and therefore requires inspection to ensure you keep motoring.
